According to bank tellers, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the tellers, threatening two employees at gunpoint. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a light skinned or African American male in his late 20’s or early 30’s with a medium build. He is approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a floppy or “bucket” hat and a fake beard, a beige jumpsuit and was holding a white package. After robbing the bank, it is believed that the suspect traveled south on Coastal Highway on foot.

Citizens are reminded that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Citizens should not attempt to approach or detain the suspect, however; should immediately contact police.

This makes me laugh. Were expected to put our hard earned money into the bank. The protect it with nothing.........they count on the government to bail out any robberies. I have far better cameras protecting my property than the bank does, thats just wrong.

I like the way that convenience stores have better camera's than banking facilities do. This just proves that the banks are really not that interested in finding the perp because they know that they will get their money back from insurance. All this does is to allow the bank to say that they have camera's.

I have said it many times recently: These banks should not publicize their video systems. The quality of the pics are so pathetic, it tempts me to become a bank robber (kidding)!
It you are a customer of that bank, you may want to offer to buy them a couple of cameras. It could help to protect your money.
