Great call Dr. Hanlin. Finally we have a superintendent that is concerned about students and staff.

5:28 I do agree it was the right call. Your comment is a breath of fresh air. Such a difference in the old and new Superintendents.
When Fredericksen closed school for flooding there were bushels of vilifying comments on SBYNews, blaming him, teachers, the school board, head of transportation etc.

I understand students but Central Office. Guess they just don't want to work.

I agree with the call however, they knew it was raining last night and was not forecast to stop. Why not make the decision late last night and not wake everyone up at 5am with calls, texts and emails. Put it on the 11pm news and allow parents to plan ahead accordingly. Just a suggestion.

9:35 if they had made the call last night someone would be on here complaining that forecasts are wrong all the time and they should have at least waited to see what conditions were in the morning.

I agree 9:35. I bet they wanted to wait to see how high tide affected the roads overnight. There are always critics that are just selfish.

Oh get over yourself. The same old tired and pathetic excuse.
