How Obama is Scheming to Sabotage Trump’s Presidency

Working behind scenes to set up shadow government to sabotage incoming administration's popular “America First” agenda

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

He’s doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action. Normally you’d expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama’s OFA. Rather, it’s gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.

Who Says Teaching Is Stressful?

Liberals in Global Outrage That Professional Attire Is Expected at the White House

Liberals are outraged across the globe because employees are expected to dress professionally in the White House.

Donald Trump has "angered feminists all over again," this time for comments he did not make. The outrage originated from an Axios report Thursday that quoted an unnamed source who claimed to have worked for the Trump campaign who said, "Trump likes the women who work for him ‘to dress like women.'"

"Even if you're in jeans, you need to look neat and orderly," the source added. Men also should be "sharply dressed."

Dozens of outlets from Australia to Ireland celebrated women who took to Twitter to express their displeasure with Trump over the anonymous comment that women can wear jeans to work. Users began using the hash tag #DressLikeAWoman to show that many women wear uniforms at their jobs, as do fictional characters.

"Trump prefers female employees to ‘dress like women', because of course he does," wrote the Sydney Morning Herald.

Chelsea Clinton Outraged Republicans See ISIS as Greater Threat Than White Terrorists

Chelsea Clinton took to Twitter on Tuesday to express her outrage at a CNN interview with Rep. Sean Duffy (R., Wis.), who said terror attacks carried out by the Islamic State pose more of a threat than those conducted by white terrorists.

Clinton retweeted a post from Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson, who tweeted a video of the interview. Mckesson said that Duffy's answer arguing Islamic extremism is more of an issue than white terrorism "is exactly the problem."

But what about white terrorism, the CNN reporter asks this Congressman. & his response is exactly the problem.

BBB, Consumers Question Fundraising Tactics of Foundation For American Veterans

St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 26, 2016 – Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises St. Louis area residents to be cautious when dealing with representatives of Foundation for American Veterans. Prospective donors told BBB that phone solicitors for the Michigan-based charity tried to pressure and mislead them into making donations.

A Concord Village woman said she refused to make a donation after receiving what she described as a “pushy” phone call from a foundation representative shortly before Christmas. Instead, the woman said she asked the caller to mail her information detailing the charity’s programs, saying she would consider a contribution after reviewing the materials. The woman said she was stunned to receive a mail notification a few days later claiming she had made a $20 pledge and asking for payment “very quickly – even today if possible.”

St. Louis BBB has received inquiries from consumers in Missouri and Illinois in recent weeks, saying they have been contacted by the charity. Foundation for American Veterans lists an address in West Bloomfield, Mich., northwest of Detroit. Despite repeated written requests in recent years from BBB Wise Giving Alliance (the national charity reporting arm of BBB), the Foundation for American Veterans did not provide any information. It also has not responded to an information request from St. Louis BBB.

Records identify Larry Siedell as president of the charity and Robert McDonald as secretary-treasurer and charity founder.

In addition to concerns over its solicitation methods, BBB St. Louis also cites concerns with the charity’s fundraising costs and law enforcement action involving the charity’s main fundraiser, Associated Community Services. Associated Community Services, hired to solicit on behalf of the charity, has been the target of litigation by several attorneys general, including Missouri.

Massive Mexican Border Tunnel Found During DHS Kelly Inspection

Department of Homeland Security head, John Kelly, arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday just in time to not only inspect the wall but to get a firsthand look at a tunnel about to go under it.

Secretary Kelly was at the southern border of Arizona and California to visit one of the more complete and heavily protected areas of the present wall, after having toured the Texas border wall last week.

Mexican state police, acting on an anonymous tip that a tunnel was being built, arrived in the town of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, Tijuana, Mexico, and went to a parking lot where they found a suspicious-looking man apparently guarding the entrance to the lot.

The man ran when the police arrived and he was captured and arrested. The Mexican police found the newly constructed tunnel in that parking lot with a vertical entrance leading down.

Democratic Obstruction on Trump Cabinet Reaches Historic Levels

Not since President George Washington's initial formation of a cabinet in 1789 has an American president's cabinet picks been approved as slowly as the Senate is approving President Donald Trump's nominees.

Trump has now been president for a full three weeks, and the number of approved members in his cabinet stands at seven—a number that was boosted by three contested confirmations last week that were opposed by almost the entire Democratic caucus.

Senate Democrats, vowing to use "everything" they can to stop Trump's nominees, have used procedural tricks like boycotting committee meetings to slow the confirmation process to a historically slow pace.

Recent administrations have had many more nominees approved at the three-week mark. Barack Obama had 12 out of 15 nominees approved, George W. Bush had his entire cabinet approved, and Bill Clinton had all but one approved in less than a day.

For most of history, approving cabinet nominees has been a non-issue. Presidents John Kennedy, Richard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter had their entire cabinet approved in the first days of their presidency—a brisk pace that has been the norm for most of U.S. history.

Senate Democrats, however, continue to delay the inevitable.

"It was meant to be": Firefighter adopts baby he delivered on emergency call

Firefighter Marc Hadden was working with the medical unit when he helped deliver the baby girl who would grow into the blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter he now knows as “Gracie.”

It was a surprisingly slow day for one of the busiest fire stations in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on November 11, 2011. Hadden had spent the day training and killing time cleaning engines.

When he finally sat down with his crew to eat dinner in the middle of his 24-hour shift, the phone rang — and he had to hop into an ambulance to make an emergency call. When he arrived on scene, he and his partner found a pregnant woman in labor. As soon as they helped her into the ambulance, she was ready to give birth.

It was the first time Hadden took charge during a delivery in his two decades of working.

“I was tasked with everything to do with Gracie,” Hadden told CBS News. “I helped her take her first breath.”

The team then called for backup and rushed to the hospital to drop off the mother and child. While filling out routine paperwork at the hospital, Hadden overheard nurses say the new mom requested the baby girl be put up for adoption “immediately.”

“Throw my name in the hat if this baby’s being put up for adoption,” Hadden said jokingly.

But he wasn’t actually kidding.

The Claws Out For Ivanka Trump Show Liberal Love For Women Is A Sham

Women can be vicious. Just ask men. Better yet, ask other women. If they’re honest, they’ll tell you. Women can be harsh to their own kind, especially liberal women. That’s what makes feminist campaigns like the “Women’s March” a bit of a joke. It’s not about women sticking up for one another. It’s about liberal women advancing their own liberal agenda, and if you’re not on board, you’re attacked, viciously.

Just look at how Ivanka Trump is being treated. After she posted an adorable photo with her son, comedian Ilana Glazer of “Broad City” unfurled her claws.

Ivanka’s tweet didn’t mock other women. In fact, many women could identify with her. Plenty of working moms have taken their kids to work, and women who are homemakers or work from home appreciate a mom who is active in their children’s lives.

I can bet if any liberal celebrity or politician tweeted the same thing, they’d be praised for it. But not Ivanka. Because she’s her father’s daughter, she is unfairly attacked by other women.

The same goes for all the stores that are pulling or downplaying her clothing line—Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, T.J. Maxx, and Marshalls. Ivanka was shocked, of course. Why would they boycott her clothing line just because of her dad’s politics? Aren’t women supposed to be treated independently, separate from their male relatives?

Isn’t this what we were told repeatedly about Hillary Clinton? It didn’t matter what Bill did. Hillary was her own woman..

Stevensville, Md. (WJZ) — Police in Queen Anne’s County have charged a Baltimore man with theft after he was arrested for making purchases with counterfeit $100 bills.

Police say 27-year-old Dawand Dametrius Daughtery was brought in on charges of theft and counterfeit bills, among others.

Schumer: 'We Think We Have Done a Real Service to America' by Vilifying Trump's Nominees

Senate Democrats flew a restaurant worker all the way from Los Angeles to Washington on Thursday, to help them portray President Trump's nominee for Labor Secretary not only as "unqualified," but also as someone who steals money from workers; looks the other way when workers are sexually harassed; forces people to work for free; punishes them for calling in sick; and fights against raising the minimum wage.

The restaurant worker told a news conference on Thursday that nominee Andy Puzder, the owner of Carl's Jr. and Hardees, "is one of America's worst fast-food CEOs." (The worker also mentioned that she joined a lawsuit against Puzder's restaurants just two weeks ago.)

"Puzder called us the worst of the worst and the bottom of the pool. I work myself to the bone just to survive. Why would we want someone who think so little of workers in charge of policies that could impact all of us?" the allegedly victimized woman asked.

On Thursday, Schumer told the same news conference, "It's disgraceful to put 'secretary of labor' and 'Puzder' in the same sentence, given his views."

OCEAN PINES MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING ESTRANGED WIFE WITH KNIFE

Robert Vincent Jaeger, 28, of Ocean Pines, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife with a knife.

Ocean Pines police responded to a domestic incident at a home on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Upon arrival, police said the 25 year-old victim appeared upset and afraid. She told police that she and her husband, Robert V. Jaeger, were separated. Mr. Jaeger grew angry and made threats after learning his estranged wife was dating a Virginia man, the victim told police.

According to the incident report, Mrs. Jaeger said her husband “went nuts and hit his head against the bedroom wall, causing damage to the wall.” He then reached for a pocket knife. Mrs. Jaeger started to call 911, when her husband dropped the knife to grab her cell phone, the incident report states. After a tussle, Mr. Jaeger left the residence. Mrs. Jaeger was not physically injured, police said.

Jaeger is scheduled to appear in District Court of Worcester County in Snow Hill, on Tuesday, March 7. He faces one count of 1st degree assault, one count of 2nd degree assault, and one count of malicious destruction.

Jaeger was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was released on a $25,000 bond.

Trump vows cheaper border wall

President Trump said Saturday that he hasn’t begun to negotiate the costs of his planned border wall, vowing to use his deal-making skills to get a better price than the latest estimate of more than $20 billion reported earlier this week.

The president also cited The Washington Times’ report Friday that after a judge halted his extreme vetting executive order, the State Department surged admissions of Syrians, Iraqis and other refugees from the seven countries Mr. Trump is most worried about in connection to terrorism.

“Our legal system is broken! ‘77% of refugees allowed into U.S. since travel reprieve hail from seven suspect countries,’” the president said in a series of Twitter posts. “SO DANGEROUS!”

The Times reported that before the judge’s Feb. 3 order halting what the president has termed extreme vetting, just 31 percent of refugees hailed from Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Iraq and Iran. After the judge reinstated the refugee program, 77 percent of admissions came from those countries.

Analysts told The Times it appeared the State Department was trying to get as many of those refugees in before the program could be shut down again.

Jerry Sandusky’s son Jeffrey arrested on child sex charges

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) — One of Jerry Sandusky’s sons was arrested Monday on multiple sexual offense charges involving children, more than five years after the former Penn State assistant coach was himself first arrested.

Jeffrey S. Sandusky, 41, a stalwart supporter who attended many of his father’s court proceedings, was charged with 14 counts, according to court records. He was jailed on $200,000 bail.

His defense lawyer, Lance Marshall, declined to comment on the allegations.

Marshall said the charges were statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts each of photographing or depicting sexual acts, sexual abuse of children and corruption of minors.

House passes bill to ban firearms on college campuses

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The House of Delegates voted Friday to ban firearms on Maryland college campuses.

Maryland law currently prohibits firearms on K-12 school properties. This bill extends that to include college campuses.

The issue sparked serious and thoughtful debate before delegates passed the measure with an 84-49 vote.

"This is a population that we can directly impact and protect," said Delegate Ben Barnes, D-Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties.

"News flash: people who are breaking laws are not going to respect this law just like they don't respect other laws," House Minority Whip Kathy Szeliga said.

Council Okay With Overpaying For $2M Property For Public Works Uses

OCEAN CITY — Despite the presentation of some last-minute statistical data, Ocean City officials were not inclined to rescind a deal to purchase a downtown parcel that will ultimately be used as a new public works facility for the Boardwalk tram.

Two weeks ago, the Mayor and Council approved an ordinance authorizing the purchase of a handful of parcels in the area of 2nd Street and St. Louis Avenue for a future Public Works maintenance area and staging area for the Boardwalk tram. The tram is currently maintained at a location on South 1st Street known as the Whiteside facility.

The Whiteside facility is nearing the end of its useful life and replacing it has been listed as a high priority in Ocean City’s long-term strategic plan. A potential replacement location was identified as the parcels on 2nd Street and St. Louis Avenue and two weeks ago, the Mayor and Council approved an ordinance authorizing the purchase for $2 million with an upfront investment of $400,000. The remaining $1.6 million will be financed with the sale of a 10-year general obligation bond offered at a low interest rate.

Liberal Democrats ignore persecution of Christians outside the U.S.

Advocates who work to protect persecuted groups say there is a “blind spot” in the West concerning the plight faced by Christians around the world — a shortsightedness evident in the overwhelmingly negative reaction to President Trump’s executive order granting preferred refugee status to persecuted religious minorities.

From the Coptics in Egypt and the “house churches” in China to the “subversives” in North Korea and the “apostates” in Pakistan, Christians are under fire on the international stage.

Paul Coleman, deputy director of the Alliance Defending Freedom International, said the international persecution of Christians is unrivaled.

“No person or group should live in fear of being killed, tortured or oppressed because of their religious beliefs,” Mr. Coleman said in a statement. “By all accounts Christians are the most persecuted group on the planet.”

Each month, about 322 Christians are killed, 214 churches or Christian properties are destroyed, and 772 acts of violence are carried out on Christians because of their faith, according to Open Doors, a nonprofit group that helps persecuted Christians.

Andrew Doran, vice president of In Defense of Christians, said their cries for help often fall on deaf ears in Europe and the United States..

He said Mr. Trump’s early actions to protect the victims of persecution and bring the Syrian refugee crisis to an end represent a seismic shift from his predecessor’s policy.

“I think the case could be made that Donald Trump did more in one afternoon than President Obama did over the last six years.”

Online Service Connects Citizens With Volunteer Lawyers

SALISBURY – Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS) launched its first Cyber Civil Clinic Wednesday at Wicomico Public Library’s downtown branch, making Salisbury the first location in the state to use web-based video portals that connect residents with volunteer lawyers.

The program is a joint effort between library and MVLS officials to provide free and accessible legal advice to low-income citizens in rural counties in the region.

Susan Francis, MVLS deputy director, said Scott Mahler, the library’s adult services manager, reached out to her in the fall, after receiving many questions from community members about legal issues.

“They received so many questions,” Francis said. “Many were navigating issues on their own without an attorney and the librarians were fielding the legal questions.”

Republicans Should Make Elizabeth Warren The Voice Of Democrat

First of all, despite the martyr act, no one has the power to “silence” Sen. Elizabeth Warren — and that’s a good thing. On the other hand, the impulse to silence Warren is completely rational, and it has nothing to do with her gender, ancestry, or ideology. It has everything to do with her sanctimonious lecturing, habitual dishonesty, and disregard of “norms.” She’s been a bully her entire career.

But when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell pulled Rule 19, which prohibits all members from taking to the floor and “directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator,” I assumed it was a failure in the optics department. (Not to mention an arbitrary, speech-inhibiting rule that should not be used, but that’s another story.)

Shutting down a female senator while she’s reading a letter from civil rights icon Coretta Scott King is a bit on the nose, even for the GOP. “She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted,” McConnell mansplained. The incident was transformed into Twitter hashtags #LetLizSpeak and the less catchy #ShePersisted. Both went viral, instilling millions of Democrats with a new sense of purpose. Hashtags > voting.

It seemed pretty obvious to me that the nomination of Jeff Sessions as attorney general was likely a done deal. So it was unlikely any persuadable voter would have even heard about Warren’s grandstanding if it weren’t for the kerfuffle. If it were up to me, however, I’d let Warren speak whenever she wanted to — ceding my time, if necessary — for as long as she wanted on any stage she demanded. The more she speaks, the better for conservatives.

Hispanic Caucus Demands ICE Meeting on Deportations

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has demanded a meeting with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials after raids across the country netted hundreds of illegal immigrants.

"These raids have struck fear in the hearts of the immigrant community as many fear that President Trump’s promised 'deportation force' is now in full-swing," the caucus said in a letter Friday to ICE acting director Thomas Homan, Politico reports.

"It is critical that our constituents have clarity on ICE operations and we request a copy of this memo," the letter said. "Without this guidance, our communities will be paralyzed as students will remain home from school, parents will be afraid to leave children alone and our local economies will be irreparably damaged."

Van Hollen Falsely Claims No Individuals From Travel Ban Countries Committed Terrorist Acts in U.S.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.) falsely claimed on Friday that no individuals from the seven countries on President Trump's temporary travel ban had committed terrorist acts on United States soil.

MSNBC anchor Kate Snow asked Van Hollen to weigh in on the travel ban and clarify his position on whether he thought the United States was safer without the travel ban.

"Oh I think we are safer without the travel ban," Van Hollen said. "First, we know—and the court found this—that no individuals from these seven countries have committed terrorist acts in the United States.

"It was pure demagoguery and fear mongering for the president to suggest that this was somehow going to make us safer," Van Hollen added.

Van Hollen's claim is contradicted by a list released Wednesday by the Trump administration that included 24 examples of refugees and other immigrants from Somalia, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria, and Libya arrested on terror-related charges, Fox News reported.

Everything The Women’s March Movement Wants You To Believe About It Is A Lie

The worldwide event had very little to do with uniting and defending women—and everything to do with promoting a progressive, radicalized agenda.

In January, it was a march. In February, it’s become a movement: a developing, inelegant phenomenon quivering with the latent energy of a post-march high. The covers of Time and the New Yorker recently featured a certain cat-eared pink hat. Organizers have developed 10 action steps for the first 100 days.

At USA Today, author Heidi M. Przybyla argued that “The march’s biggest asset — that it was completely organic and grass-roots — is now its challenge going forward.” Nascent march group organizers in New Jersey are hoping their collective acts as a clearinghouse on reproductive rights, climate change, and a free press.

In a four-part series on the social science behind the Women’s March, the Washington Post asked whether a movement “embracing such wide-ranging goals — from protecting immigrants to stopping climate change, from racial justice and religious diversity to reproductive freedom — [can] channel its support into sustained political action.” The Post suggested that Marchers shared a “common elevating goal,” though really, they had none. The Post stabbed weakly at a unifying hatred of the new president as its cause célèbre.

As the pictures and footage surfaced, it became clear that the feminism of the Women’s March was a grotesque caricature of its origins.

Study Proves Judges Wrong — 72 Convicted Terrorists Have Come From Travel-Ban Countries

At least 72 convicted terrorists since 9/11 have come from the seven countries affected by the Trump administration’s travel ban, according to a new study by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which reviewed information compiled by a Senate subcommittee in 2016.

“A review of information compiled by a Senate committee in 2016 reveals that 72 individuals from the seven countries covered in President Trump’s vetting executive order have been convicted in terror cases since the 9/11 attacks,” writes CIS researcher Jessica Vaughn.

“These facts stand in stark contrast to the assertions by the Ninth Circuit judges who have blocked the president’s order on the basis that there is no evidence showing a risk to the United States in allowing aliens from these seven terror-associated countries to come in.”

I can tell you emphatically that I thought there was intensity of people wanting to take action in 2009 when the tea party party was founded.. There is ten times the intensity level with "This Spirit of America rallies. I have never seen anything like it in my life. We will have rallies all across America in almost every state - including the blue states. Women in particular are coming forward to organize rallies and we have had many people that have never organized a rally before. There will be rallies in large cities and also in small rural areas. We want to give a voice to all those that supported President Trump.

Rush Limbaugh read the Breitbart article on his show today, and even more emails are rolling in.. Judge Jeanine Pirro and Col. Allen West have shared the story on FaceBook. The emails keep rolling in.

We are adding new states and events to our web site daily, so check back often. We have contacts for some states on the site. If you are interested in organizing a rally, please contact the contact for your state. If you don't see your state listed and you would like to organize a rally, please find information on theFAQ section of our website.

We will be sending out email updates about the rallies, so you will be hearing from us again..

Media overhype yet another hate crime story in rush to connect it to Trump, GOP

People can be jerks. That's a fact of life.

Sometimes you can read into crummy behavior and draw depressing conclusions about certain groups and institutions, and sometimes it's just someone acting alone.

The following story is about someone acting alone, despite attempts by some in the press to make it into a bigger thing about the GOP and even President Trump.

Here's what happened: A non-student handed out a foul, Nazi-themed Valentine's Day card earlier this week at a Central Michigan University College Republicans event. The card read, "my love 4 u burns like 6,000 jews," and it included a picture of Adolf Hitler.

The card was not written or condoned by anyone in that College Republicans group. This cannot be emphasized enough. It came from a non-student who apparently thought she was being funny.

"Unfortunately, a very inappropriate card was placed into a bag without other members' knowledge," said the College Republicans on Feb. 8 in a Facebook post. "We in no way condone this type of rhetoric or anti-Semitism. We apologize for any offense, and want students to know that we do not tolerate this sort of behavior."

The card, which, again, was written by a visitor, caught the attention several newsrooms. Unfortunately for the Central Michigan University College Republicans, few reporters avoided implicating them in their news coverage.

"College Republican club apologizes for handing out a joke Hitler-themed Valentine's card which mocks the Holocaust," read an extraordinarily misleading Feb. 9 Daily Mail headline.

Immigration officers go after criminal aliens in six states, deny sweeps or checkpoints

Federal immigration officers launched a blitz of raids across six states on Thursday and Friday, seizing an unknown number of illegal aliens, according to multiple reports.

Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Gillian Christensen confirmed agents have raided homes and workplaces in and around Atlanta, Los Angeles and other cities, according to the Washington Post.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said claims, as the Post also reported Friday, that people have been targeted at checkpoints and community sweeps are "false, dangerous and irresponsible."

"These reports create mass panic and put communities and law enforcement personnel in unnecessary danger. Any groups falsely reporting such activities are doing a disservice to those they claim to support," ICE said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.

ICE said the majority of those detained were adult men.

The Reason The Elite Hate Trump So Much Is Because He Is Opposed To The One World Agenda Of The Globalists

Have you ever wondered why the elite hate Donald Trump so much?

There have certainly been many politicians throughout the years that have been disliked, but with Trump there is a hatred that is so intense that it almost seems tangible at times. During the campaign, they went to extraordinary lengths to destroy him, but it didn’t work. And now that he is president, the attacks against him have been absolutely relentless. So why is there so much animosity toward Trump? Is it just because he is not a member of their club?

The truth, of course, is that it runs much deeper than that. Ultimately, the elite hate Trump because he is opposed to their demonic one world agenda. Many among the elite are referred to as “globalists” because their eventual goal is to unite the whole world under a single planetary system. These globalists truly believe that they know better than all the rest of us, and they want to impose their way of doing things on every man, woman and child on the entire planet.

Welfare Abuse?

State G.O.P. Leaders Move Swiftly as Party Bickers in Congress

When Republicans in Kentucky seized total control of the state government last year, Damon Thayer, the majority leader in the State Senate, began asking around for advice from counterparts in other capitals where the party already dominated both the legislative and executive branches.

How should we handle all this power? he wanted to know.

One answer impressed him, Mr. Thayer said, from a senior Republican lawmaker in Wisconsin: “Move quickly.”

Kentucky Republicans have done just that, swiftly passing laws to roll back the powers of labor unions and restrict access to abortion. But they are only getting started, Mr. Thayer said in an interview: They also plan to make sweeping changes to the education and public pension systems this year.

And they have plenty of company.

While Republicans in Washington appear flummoxed by the complexities of one-party rule, struggling with issues from repealing the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, to paying for President Trump’s promised wall on the Mexican border, rising party leaders in the states seem far more at ease and assertive. Republicans have top-to-bottom control in 25 states now, holding both the governorship and the entire legislature, and Republican lawmakers are acting with lightning speed to enact longstanding conservative priorities.

Miller: We Have Provided 'Enormous' Evidence of Voter Fraud

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller said the White House had provided “enormous evidence” to make a case there was a “serious problem” of voter fraud in American elections.

Miller said, “I actually, having worked on a campaign before in New Hampshire, I can tell you that this issue of busing voters into New Hampshire is widely known by anyone working in New Hampshire politics. It’s very real, very serious. This morning, on this show, is not the venue for me to lay out all the evidence. I can tell you this — voter fraud is a serious problem in the country. You have millions of people who are registered in two states, who are dead who are registered to vote. You have 14 percent of noncitizens, according to academic research, at a minimum, are registered to vote, an astonishing statistic.”

He added, “The White House has provided enormous evidence with respect to voter fraud, with respect to people being registered in more than one state. Dead people voting, non-citizens being registered to vote. George, it is a fact and you will not deny it that are massive numbers of non-citizens in this country who are registered to vote.”

County Approves Changes To Fire Vehicle Standards

SNOW HILL – County officials approved changes expected to ease some of the challenges facing volunteer fire companies this week.

The Worcester County Commissioners voted to amend the standards for chartered volunteer fire companies Tuesday. One of the key changes made will allow companies to keep fire engines more than 30 years old as long as they pass inspection.

“This resolution’s been around since 1977,” said Worcester County Fire Marshal Jeff McMahon. “This will be the first time it’s ever been proposed to be changed.”

The changes made came as a result of a meeting held in November between the commissioners and representatives from the local volunteer fire companies. McMahon said the fire chiefs had suggested a dozen changes to the county’s standards. While 11 of them were minor, essentially updating the pieces of equipment carried by firefighters, the primary change requested related to extending the life of qualifying fire engines. Previously, the standards required companies to have at least one pumper (fire engine) that was less than 20 years old and no qualifying pumper more than 30 years old. McMahon said that forced companies to replace pumpers when they hit the 30-year mark, regardless of their condition.

Doctors Challenge Five Claims of Government-Run Healthcare Proponents

Doctors supporting a return to patient-centered medicine say CNN’s Obamacare debate this week between Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) shows the claims by proponents of a government-centered health care system need to be challenged.

Claim #1: 20 million people will lose health care if ACA is repealed.

Sanders said repeal of Obamacare “means that if you are one of 20 million Americans who finally has received health insurance, forget about it, you’re gone. You’re off health insurance.”

“First off, among the purported 20 million who obtained health insurance through the ACA, 16 million are on Medicaid, and if ACA were repealed today, they’d still be on Medicaid,” Dr. Gerard Gianoli, the Louisiana-based Ear and Balance Institute, reacts to Breitbart News.

New Video Shows Muslim Woman Beaten Publicly; 'Women's March' Is Silent

In case any of the vulgar sign-toting, cardboard vagina-wearing shrews at the so-called “Women’s March” need a reminder about what actual oppression looks like, a video hit the web Friday morning reportedly showing a woman in Indonesia being beaten publicly for an unknown crime.

Released by journalist Tarek Fatah and published by the Daily Mail, the gruesome footage shows a woman in a pink headscarf kneeling before a crowd that appears to be mostly made up of men. A masked man strokes a cane across her back to the cheers of the crowd before administering the vicious beating. After a few strokes, the now-screaming woman collapses in pain.

The violence doesn’t stop.

Eventually, the woman, who appears to be unconscious, is carried off the platform by paramedics and two women volunteers.

As the Daily Mail notes, the video is eerily similar to another clip released last week, showing a second Indonesian woman publicly enduring 26 lashes for having sex outside of marriage, a crime under Sharia law. (For those who may not know, Indonesia is home to the largest Muslim population in any given country.)

Of course, these videos weren’t met with marches in the streets of Washington, D.C., nor did the Twittersphere light up with hashtagged demands that President Trump end the violence against women in Muslim countries that impose harsh penalties for any female resident who steps outside their strict religious regulations. "Women's March" organizers were notably silent in the face of such horrible victimization, probably too busy organizing their upcoming strike against the debunked wage gap myth or something.

BREAKING: California Oroville Dam expected to fail. Mandatory evacuations

Marysville, Yuba County evacuated as Oroville spillway collapse feared..

Flows out of Oroville boosted in an attempt to avoid failure

5:52 p.m.

Releases through the main spillway at Oroville Dam have been boosted to 100,000 cubic feet per second from 55,000 cfs in hopes of easing pressure on the emergency spillway before a failure occurs, officials said Sunday night.

Kevin Dossey, a Department of Water Resources engineer and spokesman said “it might help” to alleviate the pressure.

So far, Dossey said, the emergency spillway’s concrete lip at the top has not crumbled, although the hillside had “eroded to within several feet” of the big concrete structure.

Oh Look! Trump Is California’s President Now – Gov. Jerry Brown Asks For Help

I guess you could say the drought is officially over in California and then some. They have been deluged by storms. My son lives in Reno, NV and the Truckee River is overflowing there. It’s a mess. They badly needed the rain and snow, but somebody forgot to turn off the spigot. Amidst posturing and telling President Trump that California will become a sanctuary state, Governor Moonbeam is now crawling to Trump and asking for federal assistance. Regardless of what is happening, Trump will grant it. I probably wouldn’t, but that’s why I’m not President.

Imagine the hubris it takes to do this. Brown has called Trump everything but a Nazi. He’s defied him at every turn and they have threatened to not pay their federal bills as well from what I understand. The state is bankrupt and they have real security problems there. And now a natural disaster hits and here comes the leading moonbat of the Golden State… hand outstretched and entitled. It would be funny except we will wind up paying for California not taking care of their own. That’s the problem with Socialism, you eventually run out of other people’s money.

Mexican President’s Photo Op with Deported Migrants Backfires

An attempt to capitalize on the arrival of 135 deported Mexican nationals by having the president welcome them backfired when some of the migrants said the government abandoned them and would return to the U.S. as soon as possible.

The event took place at Mexico City’s airport when Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto welcomed a group of 135 Mexican nationals who had just been deported from the United States.

“You are not alone, do not feel abandoned” Peña Nieto said. “The doors to this, your house, will always be open.”

During his speech, Peña Nieto called Mexico a land of new opportunities as he talked about various programs, new investments, and the support that the newly-deported individuals would be receiving.

“Today there has been the creation of jobs not seen before and there is productive investment,” EPN said.
